Straight answers for parents of a teenager with a temper
Something happened, or something has been happening for a while, and you have ended up here at an hour you would rather be asleep.
Most of what you will find searching for this is written by somebody with a product. The pages about whether your teenager needs a residential programme are written by residential programmes. The pages about what happens in an anger management class are written by the people selling the class. The pages about school discipline are written by lawyers who would represent you.
None of them can afford to write the sentence that is true most of the time, which is that this is more ordinary than it feels and you probably do not need the thing you are being sold.
This site is written by one person who sells none of that. It answers the question in the first two sentences, then shows the working. Every figure names the source and the period it was measured over, every page says when its sources were last read, and where there is no reliable number, the page says that instead of inventing one.
It cannot tell you what is happening with your own child, and it never tries to.
